Support philosophy
Part of the advantage of consuming infrastructure as a service is the improved support that can provided. Because we run the application, we don't need to reproduce your environment to answer your questions, and we won't ask you to "install the latest service pack". We also won't ask you to give us large amounts of debugging data or to reinstall the application. We manage the complex part of the service, so the burden on you in any support request is minimised.
Provided the APIs are being used correctly, the vast majority of support requests will be able to be quickly resolved. And because we are able to release new versions often and in most cases, without any impact on you, customer driven improvements are implemented more quickly. Letting you get on with business.
We have found that the best support comes from people who participate in service delivery. Our support staff have an active role in the operation of the environment and have direct contact with the people who write the software, run the infrastructure and process the accounts. In keeping support staff close to service delivery, you get your enquiries answered by somebody who can quickly understand your issue and can actively help you.
Our aim in support is simple - to provide answers to your questions which lead to solutions, when you need them and with minimal burden on you. Providing infrastructure as a service helps us achieve this aim. Our approach to support ensures we meet it.
